The award is presented by the Breeding Services of the Slovak Republic (Plemenárske služby SR, š.p.). PD Čečejovce specialises in breeding Holstein cattle with a focus on commercial milk production.
The milk is sold to wholesale buyers, while part of the production is used for making their own products, such as cheeses and yoghurts.
Working with livestock and processing milk is a demanding operation that runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This award therefore belongs to all colleagues involved in both animal and crop production at PD Čečejovce.
